چکیده

conclusions these results suggest that polymorphisms in interleukin-10 gene promoter influence clinical outcome of hbv infection and susceptibility to hbv infection. results persistent hbv infection was associated with il-10-1082 ag (p = 0.001) and gg (p = 0.004) genotypes and g (p = 0.000) allele. il-10-819 t/c and -592 a/c genotype and allele frequencies did not show any correlation with the risk of chronic hepatitis b infection. patients and methods 221 chronically infected patients and 200 healthy control subjects were enrolled in the study. three biallelic (-1082 a/g, -819 t/c and -592 a/c) polymorphisms in the il-10 promoter gene were determined by pcr-rflp method. background il-10 can play a vital role in immune response against hbv. three biallelic snps from the transcription start site control the transcription of the il-10 gene. an association between susceptibility to hbv and il-10 polymorphisms has been suggested in patients with hbv infection. objectives the present study was designed to study the association between polymorphisms in interleukin-10 (-1082 a/g, -819 t/c and -592 a/c) promoter gene and chronic hepatitis b virus (hbv) infection.

Association Between IL-10 Gene Promoter Polymorphisms (-592 A/C, -819 T/C, -1082 A/G) and Susceptibility to HBV Infection in an Iranian Population

BACKGROUND IL-10 can play a vital role in immune response against HBV. Three biallelic SNPs from the transcription start site control the transcription of the IL-10 gene. An association between susceptibility to HBV and IL-10 polymorphisms has been suggested in patients with HBV infection. OBJECTIVES The present study was designed to study the association between polymorphisms in interleukin-...

The association of interleukin-10 -1082, -819, -592 polymorphisms and tuberculosis risk

OBJECTIVES To assess the association between interleukin (IL)-10 -1082, -819, -592 polymorphisms and tuberculosis (TB) risk. METHODS This study was conducted between July and October 2014 in West China Hospital, Chengdu, Sichuan, China. We searched and collected data from PUBMED, EMBASE, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, VIP, and WANGFANG up to October 2014. RESULTS A...

Lack of Association between Interleukin-10 Gene Promoter Polymorphisms with HIV Susceptibility and Progression to AIDS

Background & Objective: Interleukin (IL)-10 is an important anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory cytokine. Some authors believe that single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) in the promoter region of the IL-10 gene have been associated with susceptibility to HIV infection and progression to AIDS, but its role is not clearly defined yet. The present study was undertaken to evaluate the a...

Association of IL-10 rs1800896 (-1082 G/A) gene polymorphism and susceptibility to rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in Northeast of Iran

Background and objectives: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a complex and systemic inflammatory disease in which the immune response is disturbed. Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the promoter regions of regulatory cytokines including interleukin-10 (IL-10) may lead to exacerbated immune response and increased risk of RA. Here, we aimed to assess the association of IL-10 -1082 (G/A) (rs180...

Interleukin-10 Promoter Polymorphisms and Breast Cancer Risk in Iranian Women

Background: IL-10 is an anti-inflammatory cytokine which is involved in tumorigenesis. Over production of IL-10 and elevated number of IL-10 generating mononuclear cells in breast tumor tissue has already been shown. Objective: To determine the association of IL-10 promoter polymorphisms with increased risk of breast cancer and its association with breast cancer prognostic factors. Methods: Per...

Association between Cytochrome P450 2C19 Gene Polymorphisms and Hematological Malignancies in an Iranian Population

Background: Cytochrome P450 2C19 (CYP2C19) is widely involved in the metabolism of some medications. On the other hand, recent studies have shown the contribution of the CYP2C19 polymorphisms to different malignancies. We aimed to investigate the association between CYP2C19 polymorphism and occurrence of hematological malignancies by comparing the phenotype distribution of this enzyme in patien...
